The romance of a pastel-hued bardot top is undeniable. Ever since the trend has been back, I’ve been obsessed with it as I think it looks feminine, flirty and flattering without it looking like you’re trying too hard. Bardot/off shoulder silhouettes are especially perfect for brunches and/or lunch dates. Plus if it is a flowy top like this one, it hides your post-pizza tummy too!
A few tips to style them:
I’ve been wearing off-shoulder tops and dresses with almost everything. The best part is you can get one in any length – crop or mid or long- and either fitted or billowy. A top like this can be worn with –
- A pair of easy fitting culottes and oxford shoes for a casual look
- Midi skirt and high heeled pumps for a dressy look
- Straight fit jeans/boyfriend jeans/wide legged jeans/distressed jeans and white sneakers
- Play around with chokers in different styles, or long drop earrings to accentuate the clavicle area
How do you like styling off shoulder tops?
In this particular outfit you see here, I decided to go with heels with the simple jeans to add a touch of sass to the otherwise casual look. And are these heels comfortable or what! Because of the thick heel and good coverage around the toe, these are super comfy! The gold choker highlights the collar bones and shoulders and I love that!
Hope you liked the pictures as much as I liked shooting for them. See you in the next blog post!
xoxo
