Pink Brocade

Pink Brocade

Hello beautiful people!

If you’re looking for something fresh for the upcoming festive and wedding season in a non-crazy budget, read on.

I’ve been working on some ideas for you all for the upcoming wedding season and have shot a couple of them, but I figured I should start with what I’ve been wearing myself in real life! The one thing that’s important for me on this blog is being relatable.

Had posted some pictures of this outfit on instagram and recieved sooo many messages asking about this, that I figured this has to go up on the blog! Also because this outfit is my own creation 🙂

It was my brother’s wedding this year and hence of course I needed quite a few new Indian outfits. Decided to design them myself and get them custom made, because I already knew what I wanted my look to be. Also because everything I saw in the market was way too overpriced and not really worth it.

Brocade has always been love and the best part is, since it’s already so rich looking, you don’t need extravagant embroidery and jewelry. I prefer outfits that look festive without looking like you’re a mithai ka dabba yourself. And so instead I settled for a fabric that resembles a mithai ka dabba ever so slightly!! Hahaha! If you look closely, the fabric has a self pattern on it of matki ie earthen pots. I fell in love! All it needed was fabulous cut and stitching, a flowy dupatta, fantastic earrings, juttis and festive makeup. I kept the makeup pretty monochromatic with pink on eyes, cheeks and lips. Paired the whole thing with my Daniel Wellington watch and Tanishq bracelets. And of course my nose ring, which is my favorite accessory. This one I found at Voylla. Did my hair myself too! What do you think of it?

I wore the lehenga for another wedding in Chennai with different jewelry and hair. Liked that look too. (The last two pictures)

If you’d like me to design ethnic outfits for you in a budget of your choice, I’d be happy to! You can comment down below or email me or DM me on Instagram. Have a fabulous festive season! I’ll be back with more looks and ideas.

xx

Really loving this outfit of yours !! I was scouting for a simple but minimal bridal blouse design, to match with my sister but I guess! This is what i would go for now !!
