The Renault Lodgy

In my previous post, I wrote about my experience at the Renault Lodgy and Blogadda event in Goa. Now here are my thoughts on the car.

I was really excited about driving the Lodgy as I had never driven an MPV before. The Lodgy lived up to my expectations by providing comfort, thrill and performance. The car has a masculine, boxy look which I quite liked. But it is the interiors that are worth talking about.

Plush and comfortable, the interiors of the Lodgy are quite the highlight. Reading lamps for all three rows and charging sockets too. Charging sockets on all seats! That is a boon for social media addicts like yours truly!  The car is excellent for long drives over the weekend with the entire family. There’s plenty of head room and leg room for the front two rows.

I was pretty intrigued by the name of the car and I did ask Renault people the meaning/logic behind it. I didn’t quite get a satisfactory answer so I came up with my own interpretations. I feel they could have given it a better name.

After driving, I sat on the second row seat as well and noticed that it sits a little higher than the front row, giving the rear passengers an equally great view of the road ahead.

In a nutshell, Renault Lodgy is quite impressive, especially at the price point of INR 8.5 to 11.5 Lakhs. 85PS variant has an efficiency of 21kmpl and the 110PS with almost 20kmpl.
