It’s official. Pantone announced it’s color of the year 2013- Emerald Green. Unlike last years bright and summery Tangerine Tango which brought back orange lips more than ever, I am looking forward to see what does 2013 have in store for Emerald Green.

Pantone commented that ’17-1463 Tangerine Tango, a spirited, reddish orange, provided the energy boost we needed to recharge and move forward’, while Pantone 17-5641 Emerald is ‘a lively, radiant, lush, vivid, verdant green’ which ‘enhances our sense of well-being further by inspiring insight, as well as promoting balance and harmony’. The company which also works with some of the best fashion and designer houses in the world picks out a hue for every year depending on the recent runway trends and popularity.

The color green is also essentially symbolized for growth, prosperity, balance and healing.
