Red lipstick is glamorous and classy. But it can also be intimidating and difficult to wear. Won’t it be great if you knew 4 different ways (there are many more, trust me, but let’s keep it four for now) to rock red lips? Here goes!

As a lip stain

A lip stain is the perfect way to sport bright lips without them looking over the top. It is a great way to wear your dark lipstick during the day, or at night with heavy eye makeup.

Dab your lipstick on to lips. Do not drag, but dab with a light hand. Spread using your ring finger (the ring finger has the lightest touch). Voila you have gorgeous berry stained lips now!

 As a lip stain, topped with tinted lip balm

If a lip stain is not your thing and you like glossy lips, top the stain with a tinted lip balm. Tinted lip balms tend to fade out easily from bare lips but when there is a lipstick stain underneath, the balm has something to hold on to.

The tinted lip balm I have used is Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple.

 The classic matte red lip

My favorite. It looks classy and oh so glam. Line and fill your lips with a red lip liner, apply lipstick (preferably with a lip brush, for long lasting color), blot and reapply. I feel a red full mouth just instantly brightens any outfit!

If you are bold enough, top that matte lipstick with clear or even red gloss. Super shiny, gorgeous lips!
